What Happens After Wrestlemania?

As we near closer to Wrestlemania 33 I want to make some predictions and things I’d like to see happen.

A re-draft may very well be in order as we’ve seen in years past with a brand split. Some stars are in need of a change. There have been rumors that Triple H is forming a new faction and it sure looks that way with Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens. Could it be another evolution? Most likely but obviously more members would be needed. Rusev and Big Cass are the two guys I want to see. They would add to the dominance of Joe and Owens. Rusev is stuck going nowhere and Cass may end up being a tag champ so it may not happen for him. Rusev would definitely be a tough tandem with Joe and Owens. Finn Balor could be another guy but I don’t want to see Balor paired with them. Why? Well because there is another rumor floating around.

AJ Styles may be on his way to RAW which would most likely means he rejoins his brothers from The Club, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. Which is where Balor belongs. He was one of the original founders of the Bullet Club and it almost seems you can’t really have The Club without him. They definitely haven’t utilized The Club the way I thought they would when they brought them in and what better faction to go against Triple H’s new faction.

Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, and Sasha Banks should move to Smackdown. As much as I’d love to see The Shield reform that probably won’t happen. Since being injured Rollins hasn’t had a lot going for him in his return and though he could feud with the likes of Samoa Joe or even AJ Styles I don’t see him winning the Universal Championship. Lots of rumors floating around that Goldberg will win the championship at Fastlane (I’m ok with this) and Brock Lesnar will then take the title from him at Wrestlemania with Samoa Joe being the one who eventually takes it from Lesnar. So, I’m not seeing much room for Rollins to win it especially if Styles goes to RAW. Smackdown will also need star power if they lose Styles. Rollins and Reigns would be a pretty good feud if they choose that.

Sasha Banks needs to go to Smackdown. It’s apparent that Charlotte who’s already a four time champion and will most likely make it five at Fastlane, is the chosen one in the women’s division. She’s by far the best in the ring and she’s easy on the eyes but hate her on the mic. Charlotte is great on the mic I just hate listening to her. Bayley is the next big thing and Banks is already going backwards and the women’s division on Smackdown needs a boost. Banks needs to be back on top and Smackdown would give her that platform. Mickie James can still keep up in the ring and in my opinion it’s great seeing her back (is this weird for John Cena)? I think Banks and James could be a good feud.

Cesaro could use a good push. Him on Smackdown with Reigns and Rollins could be huge. Cesaro and Rollins would also be a great feud for the WWE Championship. Reigns could feud with Baron Corbin when not going to the WWE title. Dean Ambrose can be thrown in the main event picture with Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and company. There could be a lot of potential with Rollins, Reigns and Cesaro going to Smackdown. Either way you dice it up, someone is going to be left hanging. Oh and how impressive has Luke Harper been? He has finally been given a chance and damn he has been good. Part of me was hoping he’d be in the main event at Wrestlemania and another part of me was saying “Give him the damn title!”

Releases will be on the horizon as well. Guys who could find themselves being let go: Goldust, R-Truth, Primo, Epico, Heath Slater (hopefully not), Rhyno, Tyler Breeze, Fandango, Simon Gotch, Aiden English, and Dolph Ziggler. I wrote a colum on Vince McMahon not knowing anything about talent. That was me saying that he has missed on a lot of guys he’s brought in with terrible gimmicks. Kenny Omega, Ethan Carter, Cody Rhodes, Drew Galloway have all been in WWE and have all shined without WWE. Don’t be surprised if some of the released talent go on to shine without Vince. It’s not always a bad thing. Sometimes it’s good for guys to get out of crap gimmicks and go on to reinvent themselves.

Will Mick Foley be out as RAW general manager? It sure looks that way. Could Kurt Angle take his place? It could happen. Will the Hardy Boyz make their return? Maybe, Matt Hardy is trolling hardcore between WWE and NJPW. Will Drew Galloway be back in WWE? Only time will tell but expect some shake ups to happen none the less. Seth Rollins will be in town on Saturday and I’m going to brace the line to get an autograph so that’s exciting. Until next time.

  1. Would love to see a picture of that autograph!

This has been a good year for wrestling and keeps getting better. Have my reservations about temporary wrestlers holding the belt. It didn’t go to good last time with Brock. I don’t think they need the belt for their feud.

RAW needs to groom more main event erst, SmackDown is doing a way better job on that department.

    1. Hopefully I can get it! I’m fine with Goldberg winning it and losing it a few weeks later. I wish Sting would have won it for a month or so. Brock is supposedly going to lose it at extreme rules so it doesn’t bug me if he wins it one more time. I think Smackdown as good as it has been needs one more star or two. RAW has enough they don’t use properly. Braun Strowman is starting to impress me… never thought I’d say that.
