RAW had a full month of awful shows. It’s up to Smackdown to save the day, again!
Rusev Kicks Off the Show
Why a match we’ll see at the PPV was booked at RAW baffles me. Rusev is doing great and it’ll be a shame if he loses to Reigns.
Sami Zayn vs. Sheamus
Nothing spectacular. And the Cesaro/Sheamus best of seven series isn’t either. I mean, we’ve seen them face off a lot already. The’ll have to really step it up to get some interest.
The New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz
It’s hard to take the Dudleys seriously after being reduced to a joke. This is an overall issue on RAW as they struggle to get credible challengers for most titles when the whole pull has been reduced to jobbers while pushing the challenger in turn to a PPV. They need to always have 2-3 strong contenders available and keep rotating.
Nia Jax in Action
I’m done evaluating the same… thing every week.
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman Preview SummerSlam; Heath Slater Interrupts
Hope the push Heath is getting doesn’t die off. They can make him into something.
Big Cass vs. Kevin Owens
Not great, just average.
The Prime Time Players vs. The Shining Stars
I’m glad they are back together as they were going nowhere alone. But not for long. I thought they were done with the awful feud, but they are not.
Not much of a match to see. Everyone loses on this one.
Neville vs. Jinder Mahal
Seth Rollins Calls Out The Demon King
Not the best promo. Not sure it was smart to bring the Demon so early.
The Golden Truth vs. The Club
This is a joke gone wrong. Stretched too long to the point it’s hard to even watch.
Alicia Fox vs. Charlotte
Huge potential of a match thrown into the garbage with barely any time to perform.
Roman Reigns vs. Rusev
Solid match, PPV worthy. Sadly, I doubt they’ll be able to top this one at the PPV.
I always thought that the huge limbo was due to having too many wrestlers and not knowing what to do with them. Now it’s clear that it’s all creative’s fault. Brand split has been doom for RAW offering garbage shows left and right. There’s barely any interest in the PPV besides the names involved in the matches. I even think that interest have been sucked out by RAW this past month.
They need to change their formula, or Smackdown will have a breeze dethroning them.
